KIKKO ACUPUNCTURE COMING TO NRCHI
Greg Beerling (The Witchdoctor) in his search to find effective treatment methods is taking some time off in June to learn KIKKO ACUPUNCTURE a new style.
Greg will be away for 4 days from the 16th – 19th June and then from the 24th to the afternoon of the 26th June.
Kikko acupuncture was developed by
BLIND ACUPUNCTURIST MASTER KIYOSHI NAGANO
In the post-war Japan, Master Acupuncturist Kiyoshi Nagano began a remarkable and fruitful investigation. Despite being blind, Nagano memorized Chinese canonical literature and developed a unique and ingenious theoretical and clinical approach that incorporated the classical concepts and emergent insight from Western medicine.
His ideas and methods did not follow an established group, which brought a certain stigma in Japanese acupuncture circles. Being mentally robust, he was proud of his “lone wolf” status.
Over the next half a century – using his extraordinary palpation and pulse diagnostic skills as a guide – he crafted ingenious acupuncture protocols fro all types of conditions.
Master Nagano passed away in 2003.

Cosmetic acupunture which is also known as “facial rejuvenation” acupunture is one of the best ways to relieve muscle and skin stress in the face and surrounding regions. Many people are finding it to be one of the most effective treatments against wrinkles and dropping muscles.
As we age the muscles in our face stretch, contort and become slightly more tense in certain areas. As a result of this the skin around those muscles will form dips and rises which become the basis for wrinkles. By stimulating the muscles and energising the specific facial lift points we can allow the muscles to relax and the skin to return to a more normal position. Over time this will slowly allow the muscles to become more relaxed and revert back to their less tense positions. The skin will become refreshed and smoother which obviously means less dips and rises and less wrinkles.
Cosmetic acupunture is also useful for the treatment of uneven skin colour and various other skin ailments. During the course of our day to day activities we expose our face and skin to numerous different environments and situations. Over time this exposure to sun, wind, fumes and other such things can in some cases cause the skin to become slightly discoloured and even uneven in texture. The skin discolouration is generally know as hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation and is due to the increased or decreased activity of the Melanocytes which form melanin. Once again by stimulating the skin and the Melanocytes it is possible to even out the Melanocytes activity and thus attempt to even out the colouration of the skin.
